Nick Van Ess

Born and raised in Wisconsin, Nick completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and his dental degree from the University of Iowa. Upon graduating, he returned to his home state where he practiced for six years in both corporate and public health settings. For the past few years, Nick served the Wisconsin Northwoods communities as part of the Marshfield Clinic. While Nick enjoys the technical facets of dentistry, he values his relationships with patients. He is a proponent of personalized treatment planning and interdisciplinary care. Additionally, he considers empathy and compassion to be fundamental for delivering successful patient-centered care. Furthermore, his wife Josephine will be joining CHP. She is originally from Helena and is a general dentist, too. Outside of dentistry, Nick enjoys participating in outdoor activities as well as spending time with his wife and two children.
