Mental health crises can come up without warning, and they can be life-threatening. If you feel stuck, helpless, worthless or anxious to the point where you may become a threat to yourself or others, it’s time to get help. It’s a scary place to find yourself, but there’s no shame in reaching out for support. Fortunately, there are many resources available in Montana, both virtually and in person.

If you are concerned for your or someone else’s safety, call 911. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is also an emergency resource to call when you need. If you prefer to communicate via text, you can text MT to 741-741 for help on the text crisis line.

There are also other local resources to find the help you need in your Montana community. Reach out to any of these resources any time and start believing in feeling better.

The Help Center

When you call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline from anywhere in Montana, it automatically routes the call to the Help Center in Bozeman or Voices of Hope in Great Falls, whichever is closer. The Help Center offers trained counselors on their 24-hour crisis line and their 24-hour sexual assault line. Even if you just need someone to talk to or need help finding other resources, you can call for help. Reach them at 406-586-3333.
